Mine was supposed to be delivered in Sarasota on the 13th of March, 2009. I tracked the package on the 13th and it said it was on the truck, out for delivery. No package showed up. Now, on the 16th, I call the shipper and they inform me, very lackadaisically, of a train derailment (seems they’ve heard this before). I track it again, and suddenly there is a “train derailment” listed on the tracking at UPS.com on the 12th. They said nothing about this on the 13th when I tracked it. So, intrigued with a possible train wreck I’ve heard nothing about, I search online for info. NOTHING at all! But, I did find several other sites like this one of people speculating on the incredible amount of delays from UPS due to “train derailment”. UPS is either really unlucky, or a really bad business that can’t live up to promises made.

Great , The UPs Train Derailment has hit once again. I was suppose to get a package ( a laptop for my son ) Toe get here on the 3/13/2009 , now we wont see it until 3/16/2009 . Keep in mind that it was sent out on 3/9/2009/ , so long lond does it really take. Oh they had a Train Derailment of one of their train on 3/12/2009 at noon in Jacksonville, FL

Train Derailment my ass. I had two packages sent from Georgia to Seattle. One is on time and the other says train derailment. Im in the news media and there is no derailment in Seattle. I dont mind a delay but will not be lied to. No more UPS!!!
