OpenDNS Problem Resolved
I have to say, OpenDNS has the FASTEST reponse time to a submitted incident that any company that I’ve ever worked with. In additional to their amazing response time, they actually fix the problem and/or work with you to resolve the problem on your end.
Case in point, my previous post mentioned I couldn’t load any files pulled from my webserver hosted by Google. I submitted a help request quickly had a response from Daniel Gifford, the Community Manager for OpenDNS.com who said:
“John.
There was a problem with one of our services running on the servers that may have caused this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience and are confident this will not happen again.”
I assured Daniel that stuff happens and it wasn’t a huge problem, just an annoying problem (and maybe, possibly, could have gotten to be a big serious problem had it continued).
All in all, Daniel resolved the problem I was having and since then we’ve been shooting e-mails back and forth swapping disaster stories ![]()
OpenDNS, like I’ve said I don’t know how many times, rocks! I sound like a paid advertising person but really I’m not. I’m just a satisfied customer working with a people-centered, friendly, down-to-earth, company.
Now, I need to find time to work on my domain tagging, otherwise I’m going to get passed up real quick!
