Blackberry 8700c 4.5 Software
Just for the fun of it (and because I haven’t posted in over a month!) I loaded “Hong Kong CSL Limited” firmware/software for the Blackberry 8700g onto my Blackberry 8700c updating the version 4.2 software that I orignally got from Telefonica Venezuela.
Check out the pictures and link. Version 4.5 is SUPER SWEET!

I also found this little website, http://forum.eveek.com/bb-8700/97-eveek-custom-themes.html and loaded some nice themes onto my new OS.
Don’t forget to delete (well, backup then delete) the Vendor.XML file found in either C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\ something something something or C:\Documents and Settings\Applications Data\ and somewhere in there. Just do a search for vendor.xml, I’m sure you’ll find it somewhere in the Blackberry folder.

Hey, question. how hard is it to update the OS for the 8700? One of the messages said that you would have to activate the messaging and blackberry stuff wirelessly?? how does that work?
